OCDY Terms & Conditions

THIS DOCUMENT IS TO ESTABLISH TRANSPARENCY IN REGARDS TO QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPECTATIONS, COSTS, CANCELATION AND REFUND POLICIES.

Aloha!

            First off, let me express my appreciation and gratitude to you for choosing Ocean Deep Yoga and PFI to enhance your underwater capabilities and realize untapped potential! Before we begin our course, I’d like you to read through the following terms of enrollment. This document covers refund policy, cancelations, make-up days and early termination of the course for any reason. All terms must be agreed upon, signed, and dated by yourself (or parent/guardian if under 18) at the end of the page.

  • Graduation Requirements

    • In order to successfully complete the course students must:

      • Successfully complete all the knowledge development (eLearning & Zoom Classroom,) confined water, and open water training sessions. Open water training is not necessary for Pool Only certification.

      • Demonstrate mature and sound judgment concerning planning and execution.

      • Achieve a passing score of 80% on the final exam and show whole knowledge comprehension.

    • Perform all skills in the confined water and open water sessions to the satisfaction of the instructor and to the PFI standards.

    • For any reason, if the student is unable to attend all of the Zoom Classroom sessions, or needs to leave early, that student will be ineligible to participate in any in-water activities until the classroom sessions are completed. A private zoom meeting with the instructor can be scheduled to go over any remaining material before entering the water.

      • 1 Chapter: Free.

      • 2-3 Chapters: $75

      • 4-6 Chapters: $150

    • For any reason, if the student in unable to meet any of the requirements, no certification will be issued until the skills are demonstrated to the satisfaction of the instructor.

  • Cost

    • PFI Freediver Basic: 3-4 days, $375, Kama’aina: $350

    • PFI Freediver Plus: 6 days, $600, Kama’aina: $525


  • Refund Policy:

    • Should a student cancel more than two weeks in advance, a full refund will be issued.

    • Should a student cancel between two days and two weeks in advance of the course, a 50% refund will be issued.

    • Should a student cancel within two days of the start of the course or while the course is underway, no refund will be issued.


  • Cancelation and make-up days:

    • For any reason, if a student is unable to perform any given skill and only needs to retry that single skill, a make-up session can be scheduled for free.

    • For any reason, if a student is unable to perform multiple skills within the allotted time for the course, a half make-up day can be scheduled for $75 per person.

    • For any reason, if a student is unable to attend one or more of the in-water days within the allotted time for the course a full make-up day can be scheduled for $150 per person.

    • For any reason, if a student arrives to the location of either in-water days and is unprepared to freedive, lacking the required equipment listed below, that student will not be able to participate in the activities of the day. A full make-up day can be schedule for $150 per person.

      • Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Wetsuit, Weights, Weight Belt, Timing Device


  • Early Termination of the Course

    • For any reason, if the student is unable or does not want to participate in the Open Water portion of the course, a ‘Pool-Only’ Certification can be issued, only if all eLearning chapter quizzes and final exam were passed, all classroom sessions were attended, and all Confined Water skills were demonstrated to the satisfaction of the instructor.

  • For any reason, if a student needs to withdraw from the course while it is underway, if the student wants to do so, a make-up day will be scheduled according to what elements of the course were missed. *see ‘Cancelation and Make-Up Days’
